The awards that I was Awarded was to honour my contribution in helping refugees and immigrants. personally I feel more honoured when a fellow refugee or migrant uses my experience to find a solution to his or hers problems.
Diaspora Award 2023
On the 20th of August, 2023 the Diaspora awards were given to the 2023 winners, We migrants won one of the Prizes.
The Prizes were presented for the first time in Wilhelmshaven although the same idea and prizes are already presented, since 2018 in Bremen. It is primarily aimed at migrant persons and associations and they are awarded in five categories that are based on the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
We Migrants are proud to be honoured with the Diaspora Award 2023, an award that me, Seedy Saidykhan, received on behalf of We Migrants as a co-Founder.
Oldenburger of the year 2021 Nomination
The local Newspaper in Oldenburg NWZ awards each year a price for the Oldenburger of the year. I had the honour to be nominated in a year that the most important internal news in Germany was the Flood destruction in Western parts in Germany with 184 dead people.
I may have not won the award but the nomination of a non German citizen as potential man of the year for the city is a prize by itself and also a recognition of my work.
Group Award Integration Prize City of Oldenburg 2017
Together with other participants in the Oeins Project called Radio Globale we got the Integration price from the City of Oldenburg in Lower Saxony for the year 2017.
Radio Globale was a project from the local TV and Radio of Oldenburg, OEINS. The Project was producing radio and TV shows from a group of migrants and Germans following either issues that had a connections with migrants or the life in the city.
City of Oldenburg has established since years a price for 3 projects, every year, in the area of Integration. The price for 2017 was awarded in 3 projects, the one being Radio Globale in which I was also participating.
